The Short Story: VCU's Women's Track & Field honored their senior athletes on Saturday, as they put the finishing touches on Day Two of the VCU Ram Invite.

How It Happened

  • Camora Sanders won the Discuss Throw on Saturday, posting a toss of 46.66m. Shannon Moise and Denise O'Rourke also placed in the top-5 of the event, posting throws of 39.59m and 39.58m respectively.
  • Nichelle Scott placed first, while Ashley Greenlee and Ann Sheehy placed third and fifth respectively in the 400m Dash. Scott posted a time of 56.98, while Greenlee came in at 57.21 and Sheehy finished in 58.16.
  • Amari Jackson won the Triple Jump, recording a leap of 11.53m. Marian Osafo and Madalyn Roseberry also finished fourth and fifth respectively in the event, recording leaps of 10.94m and 10.74m.
  • VCU's 4x100m Relay team took home second place after finishing with a time of 47.06.
  • Shannon Moise and Tyler Robin earned second and third place finishes in the Shot Put, posting throws of 13.71m and 12.81m respectively.
  • Judith White posted a third place finish in the 1500m Run after finishing with a time of 4:45.14.
  • Latrice Morris finished third in the 100m Dash, recording a time of 11.99.
  • Ashley Brown posted a third place finish in the 800m Run, after finishing with a time of 2:17.03.

What's Next

The Rams will be back in action Friday, March 29, when they begin competing in the Fred Harvey Invitational in Richmond, Va.
