RICHMOND, Va. – Two VCU Women's Track and Field athletes were honored by the Atlantic 10 on Thursday when they announced their selections for the Indoor All-Rookie teams. The Rams had both Shannon Moise and Amari Jackson named to the All-Rookie team for their performances during the indoor season.

Moise, a freshman from Coral Springs, Fla., earned the selection after an indoor season in which she set a VCU rookie record with a 14.09m toss in the Shot Put at the Liberty Flames Invite. Moise went on to finish seventh in the Shot Put at the Indoor A-10 Championships, which was the highest mark of any freshman in the event.

Jackson, a freshman out of Portsmouth, Va., earned the honor after earning a top-five finish at the A-10 Indoor Championships to provide VCU with four points in the Triple Jump. Her mark of 11.80m was the highest of any freshman in the competition.

Coming off of their third consecutive Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship win, the Rams will be back in action on March 8-9, when they travel to Birmingham, Ala. to compete in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship.
