Porter and Riley to Join NBC 12's Olympic Watch Party

RICHMOND, Va. – With the track and field events off and running in London, two Rams will have an opportunity to give their input on the games.

VCU track and field coach Jon Riley and student-athlete Kiara Porter will join NBC 12's live web chat on Monday and Tuesday night to share their insight and knowledge of the sport. The pair will weigh in on their experiences, while breaking down all of the night's action.

Porter will join NBC 12 anchor Curt Autry on Aug. 6 and Riley will serve as a guest on Aug. 7. The live watch parties, which can be found on NBC 12's Facebook page, get underway at 8 p.m.

Porter had a breakout freshman season with the Rams, highlighted by great showings at the US Junior Nationals and World Juniors Nationals, where she took home gold in the 4x400 relay.

Riley, meanwhile, is entering his fifth season at the helm of the VCU track and field program. Prior to his coaching career, he was a track and field standout at Southeast Missouri State.
