LYNCHBURG, Va. – VCU Women's Tennis began the 2018 ITA Atlantic Regional, hosted by Liberty, to finish off its last fall tournament of the year. The No. 7 seeded junior, Noumea Witmus, along with sophomores Sofia Sualehe and Kanako Yano, competed in the first day of matches on Friday.

The tournament began with singles qualifying play as Witmus, Sualehe, and Yano all finished the day off with records of 1-1. Doubles partners Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado/Kanako Yano and Anna Rasmussen/Marina Alcaide Bakkari both earned byes on the first day.

The second day of matches consisting of singles round of 64, doubles round of 32 and 16, begin on Saturday at 9 a.m.
