NORFOLK, Va. – The depth of the VCU women's tennis team has played a crucial role in their success of the past several years. This spring was no different as the Rams rolled to a 17-4 mark this spring and a perfect 5-0 against CAA opposition.

On the eve of the CAA quarterfinals, VCU's depth was honored with four different players taking home All-CAA accolades at the end of the year banquet.

Seniors Alex Bara (pictured, right) and Ana Bara (pictured, left) were selected to be on the First Team in Singles as well as First Team Doubles.

Alex was 19-10 overall and 10-7 in dual play, frequently playing in the number two position for VCU. Ana was 14-14 overall, 8-9 in dual play and held fast at the number one position throughout the season.

Together the sisters held an overall doubles record of 18-10 and were 11-7 in dual play. The Romanian born players held a firm record of 11-7 at the number one doubles position for the Rams.

Sophomore Olga Terteac received Second Team Singles honors. She boasted an overall regular season goal of 17-8, 13-3 in dual play, and was a flawless 7-0 at the number three position.

Sophomore Daria Yakauleva was awarded Third Team Singles honors. The Ram from Belarus delivered a 20-7 record overall and went 10-4 in dual play.

Both Terteac and Yakauleva made Third Team Doubles together. The power pair played 8-4 together overall and 5-1 in dual play at the number two position.
