RICHMOND, Va. - Sophomore midfielder Samantha Jerabek has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
This weekend Jerabek recorded four goals and an assist, leading the Rams to a 2-0 start in conference play. In the first win, a 3-0 victory against St. Bonaventure on Thursday, Jerabek scored two goals and added an assist to Alyssa Tallent for a goal as well. She followed that up by scoring another two goals in a 3-1 victory over George Mason on Sunday.
Jerabek's big weekend ended with her being tied for the conference lead in both goals (7) and points (15). The two matches also represented the second and third time this season that she scored multiple goals in a single game.
Jerabek leads the team in both shots (30) and shots on goal (15) through nine matches. In addition, she has already scored two game-winners on the year. The first came in a 2-1 overtime win against Old Dominion, and the other against St. Bonaventure. The Rams are 4-0 this season when Jerabek scores at least one goal.
She looks to continue her stellar play this Thursday, Sept. 27, when the Rams travel to Baujan Field for a 7 p.m. conference matchup with Dayton.
