Rams Defeat Campbell, Earn First Road Win of the Season

The Short Story: Three Rams recorded their first road win of the season at Campbell. The Black and Gold held the Camels to a paltry 16.7 percent 3-point field goal percentage. Bria Gibson, Isis Thorpe, and Curteonna Brelove each scored in double figures. Mooriah Rowser contributed nine and was 3-3 from behind the arch.


  • VCU held Campbell to 3-18 shooting from 3-point range and just 20-60 from the field.
  • The Rams shot 50.0 percent from the field and an impressive 80 percent from 3-point range.
  • The Black and Gold's offense erupted in the fourth quarter with 19 points and a 61.5 field goal percentage.
  • Keira Robinson was active on the defensive end with five steals, seven total rebounds, and one block.
  • Gibson scored a team high 14 points for the Rams and was 7-8 from the field.
  • Thorpe contributed 10 points and four rebounds
  • Brelove shot 60 percent from the field, going 6-10 with 12 points. 



  • The Rams pulled away at the end of the first quarter with a 19-8 lead.
  • The Fighting Camels pushed back at the start of the second quarter to pull within four, but the Rams would head into the locker room at halftime with a 32-23 lead.
  • Campbell's Summer Price scored a game-high 23 points.
  • Despite a comeback attempt from the Camels, VCU continued to pull away late in the fourth quarter to win 66-53.



"It's always important be able to go on the road and earn a win. I thought our team defense was consistent for 40 minutes. It was great to see another game with such a balanced attack. We are looking forward to getting another win at the Stu on Tuesday".

The Rams are back in action on Tuesday Nov. 22 to take on IUPUI at the E.J. Wade Arena at Stuart C. Siegel Center at 6 p.m.
