RICHMOND, Va.  – VCU Women's Basketball star Robyn Parks will participate in the 2014 ProHoops Combine on Saturday, April 5 in Nashville, Tenn. as she prepares for the upcoming WNBA Draft.

The invitation-only combine, held in conjunction with the 2014 Women's Final Four, will take place at the A-Game Sportsplex and will feature seniors, as well as free agents, from all over the country. Participants will be evaluated by WNBA coaches, personnel and former players as they aim to improve their respective draft stocks.
This season, Parks capped her spectacular VCU career by leading the Atlantic 10 Conference in scoring (21.6 ppg) for the second straight season. A native of Waldorf, Md., Parks scored 1,561 points during her four-year career, sixth-most in school history. She also ranks in the top 10 in program history in rebounds, steals, double-doubles and games played. Her four career 30-point games are second only in VCU history to Courtney Hurt.
Parks, a 6-footer who can play on the wing or in the post, hopes to become the fourth VCU player to hear her name called during the WNBA Draft. Former Rams Krystal Vaughn (Washington Mystics, 2008) and Courtney Hurt (Indiana Fever, 2012) were both third-round selections, while Quanitra Hollingsworth (Minnesota Lynx) was the ninth overall pick of the 2009 WNBA Draft. Hollingsworth, a 2012 Olympian for Turkey, spent last season as a member of the Mystics.
The 2014 WNBA Draft will be held on Monday, April 14 at 8 p.m. at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. ESPN2 will televise the first round, while the second and third rounds will air on ESPNU.
