RICHMOND, Va. – VCU's Robyn Parks (Waldorf, Md.) found a way to have her name called on Atlantic 10 Championship Sunday.

Parks, already an All-Atlantic 10 First Team and All-Defensive Team honoree, was selected to the league's All-Tournament Team Sunday night. Parks is the only member of the team that did not play in the championship game. She was joined on the All-Tournament squad by Dayton's Ally Malott and Andrea Hoover, as well as Erin Rooney and Abigail Corning of Fordham.
In the end, the senior forward's play was deemed championship-worthy. In two A-10 Tournament games, Parks averaged 18.0 points and 12.5 rebounds to lead VCU into the quarterfinal round.
Parks provided 17 points and nine rebounds on Thursday, March 6 to spur the Rams to a 61-52 victory over crosstown rival Richmond in the first round of the tournament. She added 19 points and 16 rebounds – her 22nd career double-double – as VCU nearly pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament before falling to top-seeded Dayton 62-61.
Sunday's award was one more feather in the cap for Parks, whose 2013-14 season has been nothing short of historic. She's averaging an A-10 leading 21.5 points and 9.5 rebounds this season. She ranks sixth on VCU's all-time scoring list with 1,535 career points, and her 667 points this year are the third-most in school single-season history.
Behind their All-Conference forward, VCU has crafted a 22-9 record, an 11-win improvement over the 2012-13 season. The Rams are currently awaiting word on a potential WNIT berth.
