RICHMOND, Va. – Two VCU Men's Track and Field athletes were honored by the Atlantic 10 on Thursday when they announced their selections for the Indoor All-Rookie teams. Both Daiqwaun Faircloth and Jeakob Vollbrecht earned this distinction for the Rams after their strong performances during the Indoor season.

Vollbrecht, a freshman from Spotsylvania, Va., earned the honor after winning the Shot Put at the A-10 Indoor Championship with a 17.09m toss. In addition, Vollbrecht won the Men's Rookie of the Week Award two separate times this season.

Faircloth, a freshman out of Suffolk, Va., was named to the team after posting a seventh place finish in the 60m Hurdles at the A-10 Championship. His time of 8.29 was the second fastest mark of any freshman in the competition.

Coming off of a third place finish in the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship, the Rams will be back in action on March 8-9, when they travel to Birmingham, Ala. to compete in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship.
