RICHMOND, Va. – Apparently there was one more gift left to be unwrapped for the VCU men's basketball team.

That gift came on Monday when the Colonial Athletic Association named sophomore Juvonte Reddic CAA Co-Player of the Week. The accolade is VCU's third straight with Bradford Burgess being named Player of the Week (12/12) and Treveon Graham earning Rookie of the Week honors (12/19).

"With this team, we have a lot of different guys that can take the lead on any given night," Burgess said. "Ju is an extremely talented player who has been great for us in the past few games and will be huge for us down the stretch. If we continue to work to get better every day, we can really do some big things."

Reddic has been vital force in the frontcourt for the Rams' during their current six-game winning streak. In last week's two victories, the sophomore averaged 15.5 points and six rebound per game, while shooting 81.3% from the field.

Against UAB and top NBA prospect Cameron Moore, Reddic wowed the home crowd to the tune of 16 points, six rebounds on 8-of-9 shooting to help the Rams take home a 68-49 win.

In the game before Christmas break, Reddic registered his third straight double-figure performance with 15 points and six rebounds in a 80-68 road victory over UNC Greensboro.

On the year, the Winston-Salem, N.C. native is averaging 9.6 points and 6.5 rebounds, while shooting a team-high 59.5% from the field.

Reddic and his teammates will return to the court after a week off to battle the Zips of Akron on Thursday night. Game time in Akron is set for 7 p.m.
