RICHMOND, Va. – After guiding the VCU men's basketball team to its first-ever Final Four this past March, Head Coach Shaka Smart wants to spend some time sharing his knowledge of the game with some of his peers.

Smart and the rest of the VCU coaching staff will hold the second annual VCU Coaches Clinic Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The clinic begins Saturday morning with a VCU practice at the Franklin Street Gym practice facility.  After a break for lunch, the participants will have the opportunity to hear from three guest speakers: Boston Celtics Assistant Coach Kevin Eastman, Virginia Wesleyan Head Coach Dave Macedo and Coach Smart.

Kevin Eastman
, assistant coach of the Boston Celtics, was an integral part of the coaching staff that led the team to a World Championship in 2008. Eastman enters his seventh season with the team. Previously, he served as Nike Basketball's National Director of Skill Development, working with players like LeBron James, Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant.
