GLEN ALLEN - Join the VCU Golf team on Friday, Aug. 23 for a meet-and-greet at Golf Galaxy in Glen Allen from 5:00-7:30 p.m. Take this opportunity to join VCU Athletics in congratulating U.S. Amateur Championship quarterfinalist Adam Ball, as well as get to know the 2013-14 Rams. Golf Galaxy, the official sponsor of the VCU Shootout, is located at 9860 West Broad St. in Glen Allen.

Additionally, the 2013 VCU Shootout is set for Sept. 23-24 with a field that will include VCU, Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Maryland, Richmond, UNC Greensboro, Old Dominion, James Madison, George Mason, George Washington, Radford and Central Connecticut State.
The Shootout, hosted by Hermitage Country Club in Manakin-Sabot, enters its ninth year in 2013. The tournament also includes a college-am, which serves as an important fundraiser for the VCU Golf program. Head Coach Matt Ball says Golf Galaxy's support will allow VCU to enhance the event in the future.

The college-am will take place on Sunday, Sept. 22. It begins with lunch at 11:30 a.m., followed by 18 holes of golf and a dinner, hosted by Hermitage Country Club. Three-person teams, which will play with a college player from one of the participating teams, are available for $900. Individual spots and sponsorship opportunities are available.
