- VCU placed second at the 2013 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship at Heron Bay Golf Club. The Rams finished 12-under for the 54-hole tournament, eight strokes behind team champion Charlotte (-20). Temple (-3) was third, followed by Xavier (-1) and Richmond (+7).
- Freshman Steffen Harm carded a 1-over 73 in Sunday's final round to place third overall for VCU. The Gerlingen, Germany native was 5-under (68-70-73=211) for the three-day championship. Charlotte's Raoul Menard (-9) repeated as individual medalist, while Brandon Matthews of Temple (-7) placed second.
- Harm was one of three Rams in the top 10. Junior Rocky Khara tied for fifth after he shot 71 Sunday. He was 3-under (69-73-71=213) for the weekend. It's Khara's second top-five finish at a conference championship in three years. In 2010, he placed second at the CAA Championship.
- Meanwhile, classmate Matt Ball Jr. led all Rams Sunday with a 3-under 69, which allowed him to move from 15th to seventh. Ball was bogey free all day and fired three birdies on the back nine to finish in 33. He was 2-under (70-75-69=214) for the tournament.
- Freshmen Adam Ball (72) and Jake McNulty (70) also shot well Sunday for VCU and placed 22nd and 30th for the Rams, respectively.
- For their efforts, Harm and Khara were named to the 2013 A-10 Men's Golf All-Conference Team.
- VCU's top five at the A-10 Championship consisted entirely of underclassmen.
