RICHMOND, Va. – The VCU Rams baseball players have been hard at work this summer on baseball diamonds across the country. VCU Baseball has 15 athletes in eight leagues that are turning out impressive numbers this summer. Here's a look at where the boys in Black and Gold are:

Brandon Henson, OF, Strasburg Express (Valley Baseball League)

In 23 games, the outfielder is among the top hitters on his squad. Henson boasts a .333 batting average, second on the team, to go along with 25 hits. His 18 runs on the season lead the team. Henson has added 11 RBI and two home runs for the Strasburg Express. 

Hunter Vay, C, Strasburg Express (Valley Baseball League)

Vay has appeared in 11 games this summer for Strasburg Express. He has notched four hits and has scored three runs. In addition to his four RBI, he has blasted a long ball.

Devin Dunn, P, Strasburg Express (Valley Baseball League)

Dunn has appeared in five games this summer with four starts and one relief appearance. He has thrown 18.2 innings, fanning 19 batters. 

Josh Simon, C, Charlottesville Tom Sox (Valley Baseball League)

Simon has appeared in 13 games behind the dish for the Tom Sox, starting in 10. He has notched 11 hits, including four extra base hits so far this season. His seven runs have helped the Tom Sox to a second-place spot in the league.

Maddison Furman, P, Charlottesville Tox Sox (Valley Baseball League)

Furman has cemented himself as Charlottesville's go-to starting pitcher this summer. He has started six games, throwing a team-high 23.1 innings. He has allowed just 24 hits and 11 earned runs over the duration of his outings and has struck out 18 to help propel the Tom Sox to second place in the league.

Logan Amiss, C, Covington Lumberjacks (Valley Baseball League)

Amiss is having an incredible summer, proving to be one of the Valley Baseball League's best hitters. He has appeared in 24 games this summer blasting 34 hits in just 78 at-bats for a league high .436 average. In addition, Amiss has knocked in 16 runs and hammered four homers.

Andrew Puglielli, IF, Woodstock River Bandits (Valley Baseball League)

The third baseman has had a hot bat this summer. In his 24 appearances, Puglielli has scored 20 runs on 30 hits, nine for extra bases. He has been valuable to his team with a team leading 21 RBI.

Hogan Brown, UTL, Peninsula Pilots (Coastal Plain League)

Brown has been consistent at the plate this summer in his 18 games for the Peninsula Pilots. He has notched 13 hits, five runs and one RBI. 

Jaden Griffin, P, Lethbridge Bulls (Western Canadian Baseball League)

On the bump, Griffin has appeared in six games with four starts. In his 22.0 innings pitched, Griffin has allowed just four earned runs for a team leading 1.63 ERA. He has a 2-1 record with one save.

Evan Chenier, P, Lethbridge Bulls (Western Canadian Baseball League)

Chenier has thrown 14.0 innings in five appearances for the Bulls. He has allowed 15 hits and five earned runs while walking just five.

Danny Watson, P, Amsterdam Mohawks (Perfect Game League)

Watson has proved to be an important part of the Mohawks pitching staff, appearing in 10 games, securing four wins for the Mohawks. His four wins lead the team and the league. He has thrown 17.2 innings, allowing seven earned runs and issuing just three free passes. Watson has struck out 26 batters, the third most on the squad.
