RICHMOND – Senior outfielder Logan Farrar added to his 2017 resume on Saturday afternoon, as the Woodbridge, Va. native was named an ABCA/Rawlings Third Team All-American. The award is the first All-American award of Farrar's career.

Farrar saved his best for last, arguably putting together his best season in Black & Gold. Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, Farrar went out and batted a career-best .365 playing in 55 of 57 games. He added 17 doubles, eight home runs, and 32 RBI, finishing with a team-best 125 total bases. He slugged .543, and scored 50 runs throughout his senior campaign. Those stats led him to not only the A-10 Player of the Year honor, but was also named A-10 First Team All-Conference.

Putting a bow tie on his career at VCU, Farrar became the 48th draft pick in the program history, as he was drafted in the 36th Round of the MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday afternoon.
