Prior to VCU: Two-sport athlete at Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach... Four-year letterwinner with the track and field squad and a two-year letterwinner with the cross country squad... Named captain of the squads during her junior and senior seasons... Burst onto the scene during her sophomore year, capturing the outdoor district championship in the pole vault... Finished second in the District meet during her senior season on her way to capturing the Determination Award for the cross country squad... Remains a strong member of the Virginia Beach Pole Vaulting Club.
