Prior to VCU:

Full of Firsts: Wilson comes to VCU after an outstanding career for the Yellow Jackets, earning First-Team All-District and First-Team All-Region on three occasions.   

De-De-De-De-fense!:  Wilson’s athleticism not only gave the opposition’s offense problems, but her defense was just as good. The VCU coaching staff describes her as a relentless defender that will wreak havoc on opponents’ attacking mids.

Our Style: One of the many things that stuck out to the VCU coaching staff about Wilson was her style of play fitting into exactly how VCU women’s soccer will be played. She is describes as a “prototypical VCU player with relentless defensive ability and a ton of athleticism.”

Getting to Know Gabby

Building Up The Resume: All high school students are told to build up the extracurricular activities file. Wilson did that and more while at Osbourn. She was a member of the Key Club, Robotics Club, French Honor Society and National Honor Society.  

Going Green: During her senior year, Wilson served as the Head of the Recycling Committee for the National Honor Society.    

Robo-Cop: A three-year member of the Robotics Club, Wilson helped her team to 14th place national during her sophomore year and was named Rookie of the Year for her efforts.

Sharing the Birthday Cake: The cake has to be twice as big come March 27th, when Wilson and teammate Breiana White will both celebrate their 19th birthday.

Perfect Match: EHarmony.com could not have picked a better match as far as Wilson's college choices go as she was looking for a larger, diverse student population with a very competitive art school. Those three traits fit right in to good ole' VCU.

Taking it to the Extreme: Fear is something Wilson doesn't worry about after listing extreme snowboarding as one of her options when it comes other sports to participate in besides soccer.
