Third-Team All-CAA in 2007
While with the Rams:
I’m Baaaacccckkk!: A knee injury flared up during the final games of the 2007 season which kept her out all of the 2008 campaign.
Learning Curve? What Learning Curve?: After making the jump to Division I, Riley showed no signs of needing time to adjust scoring five goals in 17 games for the Black & Gold, earning All-CAA Third Team honors.
Timing is Everything: After battling through some nagging injuries, Riley emerged as a dangerous scoring threat by scoring goals in five straight games when the Black & Gold opened their 2007 CAA slate.
Gun Shy? I think not: In her 17 games during the 2007 season, Riley rifled off 43 shots, nearly a three shot per game average. That included six games of at least five shots or more.
Prior to VCU:
Moving Up the Ranks: After being a standout player at Division II Mars Hill for two seasons, Riley transferred to VCU prior to the 2007 campaign.
Leader of the Pack: During her two years at Mars Hill, Riley was dominant to say the least. She finished her Lions career with 37 goals, 17 assists and 91 points, leading the squad in all three categories in each season.
Shining from the Start: In just her first season at Mars Hill, Riley found the back of the net 20 times and dished out 10 assists for a jaw-dropping total of 50 points.
Queen of the Met: During her time at Wakefield, Riley made a powerful impact earning All-Met honors from the Washington Post on two occasions.
Jumping (and Running) Jasmine: Although she was a star on the soccer field, Riley was not limited to the pitch as she was also a four-year star of the Wakefield track & field team. She was a routine winner at indoor and outdoor District meets and capped it off with victories in the long jump and 100 and 200 meter during her senior season. At that same meet, she finished second in the triple jump and third in the high jump.
