Ponce was a busy athlete for the Herndon Hornets, starring on both the varsity track and varsity soccer teams for four seasons

Captain Cristina: Her leadership was truly valued on both squads as her coaches named her captain during her senior season in both track and soccer

District Diva: Ponce was an impact performer in both sports earning All-District honors in three seasons on the track team and All-District honors on two occasions for soccer

M-V-P! M-V-P!: When asked what her best memories of high school were Allen lists being recruited by VCU as the top spot.

Master of the Metro: Her outstanding defensive presence on the Hornets soccer team was recognized by the Washington Post when she was named to the Honorable Mention All-Metro squad, a team that also included fellow freshman Breiana White and Ashley Grant.

Hoard of Hotshots: Ponce is among a large contingent of newcomers that played for the Loudon Hotshots AAU team, including Grant, White and Lauryn Hutchinson to go along with sophomore Paige Pierson who also was a Hotshot.
   

Getting to know

Free Time? What Free Time?: On top of her school and athletic schedules, Ponce worked four different jobs including soccer camps, part-time at the Fairfax SportsPlex, part-time at the WetSeal Retail shop and part-time at Applebee’s.

Oui, Oui: One of Ponce’s many extra-curricular activities included being a four-year active member of the French Club

Volunteering Vixen: In addition to all of her other activities, Ponce found time to volunteer for local charities throughout her four years of high school.

Steppin’ it Up: Footwork won’t be a problem for Ponce, who was a two-year member of the Herndon High School step team, which goes by the name “Shades of You.”
