While at Jacksonville State:
Lovin’ the Twos: In each of her two seasons with the Gamecocks, McAulay tallied two goals from her midfield position.
Fantastic Freshman: McAulay didn’t need time to adjust to the collegiate game as she played in all 19 games for Jacksonville State, making a start in 16 of those games. She posted two goals, including a game-winner over conference foe Murray State, and two assists for six points, which ranked fifth on the squad.
Prior to VCU:
All-Around Athlete: Soccer was one of only three sports that McAulay played at nearby Clover Hill, also starring in volleyball (two years) and basketball (three years) for the Cavaliers.
Sensational Senior: McAulay made sure her last year with the Cavaliers was a memorable one, helping her squad reach the state quarterfinals. For her outstanding efforts, she earned First-Team All-District, First-Team All-Metro and Second-Team All-Region honors.
This Place Looks Familiar: SportsBackers Stadium is a comfortable place for McAulay since she spent most of her high school career as a member of the Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club Elite.
Getting to Know Sarah
Lay Down on the Couch and Relax…: That might be what McAulay is saying after her time at VCU with postgraduate plans that include either the clinical psychology or working in social work.
It’s a Family Thing: McAulay followed her sister’s footsteps as her older sister, Allison graduated from VCU in May of 2008.
Order Number 57, You’re Up: McAulay not only dishes it out on the soccer field, she also dishes it out at Red Robin Gourmet Burger and Spirits during the off-season.
From North of the Border With Love: Although she spent the majority of her childhood in the Richmond area, McAulay was actually born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and then moved to Toronto for a brief time before settling in the Capital City.
