Getting to Know June
New York State of Mind: Although she’s only lived south of the Mason-Dixon Line (North Carolina and Virginia), the vast majority of Hartman’s family resides in the Empire State, which results in a passionate love of the Big Apple for June.
A True Hero: Hartman’s uncle, Lt. Glenn Wilkinson of the New York Fire Department, was one of many true heroes that were brought to the spotlight during the September 11th attacks. Wilkinson was killed during his heroic efforts in the Twin Towers.
Athletes in the Bloodline: Wilkinson joined the Fire Department after a four-year career in lacrosse and football at Hofstra. His brother James, Hartman’s other uncle, played four years of lacrosse with the Pride also.
Girls Love Diamonds: Not that type of diamond, but we’re sure June wouldn’t mind that either. We’re talking about baseball diamonds. As well as soccer, Hartman is a passionate baseball fan, particularly the Yankees and Derek Jeter.
Don’t Mess with the Law: Hartman is a criminal justice major and spent last summer working in a law firm in the Virginia Beach area. She has plans to become an FBI agent after graduating.
