Using the Learning Curve: Benck spent last season as an apprentice in the stifling defensive unit, led by three-time All-CAA honoree Samara Stephen-Dowd

Tower of Power:  Listed at 5’10”, Benck is the tallest player on the Black & Gold roster. Her height provides a decisive advantage with balls in the air.  

Prior to VCU:

Everything gets a shot: Benck did not limit herself to only soccer at Radford. She also mixed in two years of basketball, two years of track and cross country and one year of swimming.  

Radford Rules: Benck helped lead the Bobcats to four straight district and regional championships, making a total of three state final appearances

Claiming the Commonwealth: During her junior season, Benck and the Bobcats captured the Group A Virginia State Championship

Accolades Aplenty:  Benck finished her high school career as a four-time All-State player, earning First-Team honors during her sophomore and senior years and Second-Team honors during her freshman and junior campaigns. She also was a member of the First-Team All-District and First-Team All-Region squads during all four years with the Bobcats.

Senior Leader: During her senior year at Radford, Benck was chosen as the team captain for the Bobcats.

Benck and the Big Screen: Benck is a passionate movie watcher with her favorites being the comedy genre. Elf, Borat, Office Space, Anchorman, Space Balls and Juno are listed as some of her favorites

Outdoor Living: Being from the western Virginia area, it seems only natural for hiking and any outdoor activities to be listed as one of Benck’s many hobbies.
