Miss Reliable: Has seen action in all 40 games over the past two seasons, starting 25 of those contests

Lending a Helping Hand: She registered her first career assist on Stephanie Power’s game-tying goal in a 3-2 VCU win over Bucknell on September 14, 2008.

Now Starting “#13 Amanda Adams”: She made her first career in a 2-0 victory over Maine on September 7, 2007.

No Target Practice Needed: 14 of Amanda’s 24 career shots have been on goal, a shooting percentage of .583.

A Lasting First Impression: Scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in collegiate debut, a 3-1 victory over Stetson on August 26th, 2006

Prior to VCU:

A Full Trophy Case at the Adams’ Household: Amanda was a standout player with the Spartans of Salem High School, earning AA State Player of the Year, Region IV Player of the Year and River Ridge District Player of the Year in 2006. She was also a two-time member of the All-State team and a two-time Regional Player of the Year.

Follow the Leader: Adams was marked as a leader early on, serving as the team girls’ soccer team captain for three seasons at Salem.

 Yes, Miss President: Adams served as the Student Body President at Salem during her senior year

Winning Tradition: She was an important part of the Spartans run to the 2003 Virginia AA State Championship

 Not Just a Star on the Pitch: Along with playing four years of soccer, she also played one year of basketball for Salem.

Getting to Know Amanda

A Full Slate: Along with her collegiate soccer career and 4.0 GPA, Adams is an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Students for Life and the Student Education Association.

 Helping Those in Need: Her postgraduate plans include bringing a better education to children in third world countries

Lots of Loves: Her loves off the field include watching movies, dark chocolate blue M&M’s, rain and giraffes.

 Health is not an Issue: Adams is self-admittedly obsessed with being healthy and motivating people to make healthy choices. It should not be surprising since her mother is nurse and father works in pharmacology.

This Place Looks Familiar: Any fans of the movie Borat would recognize Adams’ hometown since the famous rodeo scene in the block-buster hit was filmed in Salem.
