MOSS NAMED CAA CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR SECOND TIME THIS SEASON
RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Commonwealth University senior forward D’Andra Moss was named Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week today for the second time this season.
Moss averaged a double-double last week with 20.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per outing and led the Rams to a pair of victories and a perfect 3-0 start to conference play.
The Atlanta, Ga., native registered a game-high 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds, while hitting 10-of-13 from the free throw line Thursday at UNC Wilmington. She followed that performance with 19 points and a career-high 14 rebounds at home Sunday against Towson, which marked her third double-double of the year.
Moss, who is averaging a team-best 18.1 points per game this season, also earned CAA Co-Player of the Week honors on Nov. 23 following the first full week of the season.
With a 75-51 victory against Towson, Moss helped VCU move into sole possession of first place atop the CAA standings.
