WHILE WITH THE RAMS:

CONSISTENT CONTRIBUTOR: One of the top Rams’ reserves, Taylor saw action in all 33 contests and made one start as a sophomore in 2008-09, averaging 14.1 minutes per game.  During her freshman campaign, Taylor appeared in 19 of the final 23 contests after missing the first 11 games of the season.

DEFENSIVE FORCE: Taylor has a reputation of being a hard-nosed, defensive-minded player.  She finished last season with 51 steals, tied for third-most on the team, and logged 3.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per outing.

FINDIN’ THE GROOVE: Taylor had a career day in a home win over North Carolina Central (Dec. 21, 2008) with career-highs in points (14), minutes (21), field goals (6) and three-pointers (2).  She posted a career-best  six rebounds and five assists in a home victory against Morgan State (Dec. 15, 2008), while logging a career-high 27 minutes off the bench against American (Dec. 30, 2008).  She also contributed 11 points, three rebounds and a pair of blocks against the Eagles.

PAWING WITH THE PANTHERS: As a freshman, Taylor scored a career-best seven points at Georgia State (Feb. 17, 2008).  She knocked down her first career three-pointer and recorded four steals in the victory against the Panthers, before suffering an ankle injury late in the second half.


PRIOR TO VCU:

ALL-AROUND ATHLETE: Taylor played four years of basketball, one year of softball and ran one year of cross country while at Woodbridge High School.  She was voted second team all-district her sophomore and junior seasons with the Vikings’ basketball program and was selected first team all-district during her senior season.

STAR LIGHT: Alongside current teammate junior Ebony Patterson, Taylor experienced a successful run as a member of the Fairfax Stars AAU program.
