Class: Freshman
Hometown: Aiken, S.C.

COACH CUNNINGHAM ON BREE'ANA:

“I expect Bree to have an immediate impact in our program with the post presence she brings to the team.  She will help fill the void with the graduation of Quanitra Hollingsworth.  Bree has a tremendous upside and desire to learn, develop, and improve.  She could be a real difference maker on this team.”

PRIOR TO VCU:

THREE-SPORT STAR: In addition to four years of basketball at Aiken High School, Perry participated in track and field for two seasons and was a one-year member of the Hornets’ volleyball squad.

ACCOLADES AT AIKEN: Perry received all-region honors in basketball all four years at Aiken, including first team accolades her final three seasons.  She was also a three-time Most Valuable Player of the conference holiday tournament, while earning all-state and league MVP honors during her senior season.  Perry garnered all-region recognition and finished second and sixth in the state while competing with the track and field squad.

THE FRIDGE: Perry is the neice of former National Football League all-pro defensive lineman William “The Refrigerator” Perry.  A 1985 first round selection by the Chicago Bears, Perry played 10 NFL seasons and finished his 138-game career with 29.5 sacks and five fumble recoveries.
