 WHILE WITH THE RAMS:
● EARLY IMPACT: In her first two seasons with the Rams, Patterson has played an important role off the bench for head coach Beth Cunningham’s squad. As a freshman, she established career-highs with eight points and four rebounds against Morgan State (Dec. 27, 2007), while providing a stable option in the backcourt for the Rams.
● LOVIN’ THE LANCERS: In a career-high 20 minutes against Longwood (Dec. 28, 2008), Patterson notched six points and three rebounds.
● RIDIN’ THE WAVE: Patterson saw 13 minutes of action in VCU’s 2008-09 home opening win over Tulane (Nov. 21, 2008). She also registered her first career block against the Green Wave.
● TASTE OF THE TAR HEELS: Against sixth-ranked North Carolina (Nov. 16, 2008), Patterson netted her first points of the season on a pair of second-half free throws.
PRIOR TO VCU:
● SENSATIONAL SKYHAWK: Patterson played four years of varsity basketball at nearby L.C. Byrd High School in Chesterfield, Va. She was voted first team all-district her final three seasons with the Skyhawks. Patterson earned Region Player of the Year as well as first team all-state honors her senior season, while helping lead her team to a district title.
● SHOOTING STAR: Patterson has gained valuable experience as a member of the Fairfax Stars AAU program. She played with current teammate Jessica Taylor.
