WHILE WITH THE RAMS:

RELYIN’ ON LANE: In her first season with the Rams, Lane was the only VCU player to start all 33 contests, averaging 5.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.

A LITTLE GIVE AND TAKE: Lane dished out a team-leading 120 assists and finished her rookie campaign with 54 steals.  She registered a game-high five assists against Rutgers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (March 21, 2009).

FEELIN’ THE PRIDE: In a late-season road game at Hofstra, Lane posted 12 points and hit 6-of-6 from the free-throw line against the Pride to help VCU keep pace atop the Colonial Athletic Association standings (Feb. 22, 2009).

TERRORIZIN’ THE TRIBE: Lane had a career-day in minutes (37), points (12), assists (7), steals (3) and blocks (1) in a home triumph over William & Mary (Jan. 15, 2009).

COMMANDING THE CONVO: In a key road win against James Madison, Lane posted six points, six rebounds and four assists, while limiting the nation’s leading scorer Dawn Evans to 5-of-20 shooting (Jan. 11, 2009).

DEBUT AGAINST BIG BLUE: Lane tallied 10 points, five assists and four rebounds at Old Dominion in her first CAA contest (Jan. 5, 2009).


PRIOR TO VCU:

VICTORY LANE: During her four-year basketball career at Wichita Heights High School, Lane guided the Falcons to a 91-9 record with a pair of state titles.  She led the squad to a national ranking in her senior season, while averaging 15.1 points, 7.1 assists, 6.3 steals and 4.8 rebounds per game.  Lane finished her high school career with 1, 219 points and 635 assists.
