COACH CUNNINGHAM ON DAPHNE:

“Daphne will bring a great deal of speed and athleticism in the post.  She fits in so well with what we do defensively, and I love how coachable she is and how fast she seems to pick things up.  Daphne comes from a very successful high school and AAU program and knows how to win.   She has a bright future here in our program.”


PRIOR TO VCU:

● ALL-AROUND ATHLETE: Adebayo was a three-sport athlete in high school.  In addition to starring on the basketball court for Duluth, she was a four-year member of the volleyball team,  while participating on the track and field squad during her sophomore season.

 ● SHARP SKILLS: Adebayo, who played AAU basketball for area power FBC Georgia during her high school career, was selected to the Gwinnett County Senior All-Star Game following her final year on the hardwood.
