HOLLINGSWORTH NAMED TO ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Senior frontcourt star averages double-double at final CAA Tournament

HARRISONBURG, Va. – It may not have been the hardware she was looking to leave with but senior Quanitra Hollingsworth (Chesapeake, Va.) did not go empty-handed at her final Colonial Athletic Association Tournament as part of the Virginia Commonwealth University women’s basketball team.

Hollingsworth averaged 18.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in her final two CAA Tournament games, including a 20-point, 13-rebound performance in the Rams’ quarterfinal rout of William & Mary.

She followed that up with a 17-point, seven rebound outing against James Madision in the semifinals.

With her 37 points, Hollingsworth jumped to second all-time on the VCU scoring chart with 1,588 points. Her 1,103 rebounds rank first all-time and are 245 more rebounds than any other player in VCU women’s basketball history.

Hollingsworth and her teammates now await their postseason fate which will be announced on Monday night on ESPN at 7 p.m.
