Two teams are locked in four-way tie for first place in the CAA
1-31-09
RICHMOND, Va. – Separated by less than 100 miles, Virginia Commonwealth University and Old Dominion University have built up quite a rivalry over the years, no matter what sport it is.

Both the Rams and Lady Monarchs, along with Drexel and James Madison hold a 6-2 mark in conference play, two games ahead of four schools who have a 4-4 record in CAA action.
VCU is coming off a decisive 75-61 road win at William & Mary where four different players scored in double-figures, led by senior Quanitra Hollingsworth (Chespeake, Va.) with 16 points.

Junior D’Andra Moss (Atlanta, Ga.) and senior Radoslava Bachvarova (Varna, Bulgaria) have been outstanding of late, averaging 17.5 and 15.0 points per game, respectively, in the past two contests.
Frontcourt standout Tiffany Green has been stellar all year long with 15.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per outing. Forward Jessica Canady has returned from a wrist injury that kept her out of the earlier meeting between the two schools and is averaging 13.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
