The Short Story: Freshmen Ariel Briales was one of three runners to post personal records as she was VCU's top finisher for the fourth time in five races this fall for the women's cross country squad. Briales clocked in a 23:37.4, good for a PR and a top-10 overall finish. She was one of four Rams who finished in the top-20, which helped the Black & Gold finish fourth overall in the team standings. Sophomore Brianna Krumholz recorded a PR (24:55.7) and a top-15 finish, while freshman Caitlin McNicholl was the third Ram to clock a PR (25:05.7).

The VCU women's cross country squad will lace it up at the first Atlantic 10 Championship of the fall. Runners will toe the line at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va. at 10:30 a.m.
