RICHMOND, Va. – Fall finds the Rams of VCU ready to run, run and run some more.
With just a few weeks of training under their belts, the VCU cross country squads hit the course not long after starting their fall semester and continue throughout the fall into November under the watchful eye of Cross Country Head Coach Nicole Cook.
The first time the Rams will see action will be just down I-64 in the Tribe Open on Sept. 15. From there the team will have a few days rest before heading down the road to Virginia Union to participate in the VUU Invite on Sept. 19.
Three days later the Black & Gold leaves home again for Panorama Farms Invite, hosted by the University of Virginia on Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. From there the team is northern bound blazing the trail to Bethlehem, PA. They'll run in the presitigous Paul Short Invitational on Sept. 28.
October finds the squad beach bound with a trip to Christopher Newport for the CNU Invite on Oct. 13., marking the end of the regular season.
The schedule is capped off with a journey to the City of Brotherly Love as the Rams prepare for the Atlantic 10 Championship at Temple University. The meet is set for Oct. 27.
Runners who advance from the A-10 Championship will participate in NCAA post-season events starting with the Regional Championships (Nov. 10), the ECAC Championships (Nov. 17) and ending with the NCAA Championships (Nov. 19).
