RICHMOND, Va. – Jasmin Sneed is making a habit of this sort of thing.
The freshman from San Antonio, Texas was named Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for the third time this season Wednesday. The 6-foot-1 middle blocker hit .379 and averaged 2.14 kills per set in matches at Saint Louis and Dayton. Sneed hit .533 and scored 10 kills at 23rd-ranked Dayton Sunday.
Sneed is hitting .271 while averaging 1.38 kills and 1.13 blocks per set this season for the Rams.
VCU and Sneed return to the floor on Friday, Nov. 18 when they meet fourth-seeded Duquesne in the first round of the A-10 Tournament in St. Louis.
