  • Jessica Sloan and Lauren Bruns led the way for Dayton with 17 kills apiece. The Flyers have won 17 straight matches as they head into the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament next weekend in St. Louis.
THE DIFFERENCE
  • Dayton hit .303 in the match. Amber Erhahon and Kendyll Brown each hit .529 with 10 kills, while Sloan (.298) and Bruns (.324) were also efficient.
  • The Rams, who dropped the first set, held set point in the second, but watched as a Sloan smacked a kill, then combined on a double block to give Dayton a 28-26 win.
  • VCU also threatened in the first. The Rams led 19-18 when Bruns and Sloan provided kills to bookend a 4-0 Flyers run. Margo Wolf later cemented a 25-21 Dayton win with back-to-back service aces.
QUOTABLE
"Tough weekend against the top two teams in the conference, but we played better today than Friday. The girls had a lot of fight in them. Jasmin Sneed had another good match for us. Our setters did a great job today. Good distribution. We made too many errors later in the set. We need to be better later in the sets, and that's what we're going to work on this week as we prepare to play for an A-10 Championship. " – VCU Coach Jody Rogers

WHAT'S NEXT
