HOW IT HAPPENED
- VCU hit a season-low .066 in the match, including -.125 in the first set, and committed 18 hitting errors. South Florida, meanwhile, hit .308.
- The Rams were also plagued by 10 service errors, compared to two aces.
- USF's Valerie El Houssine led all players with 15 kills and hit .565 in the match.
- Freshman Martina Samadan led the Rams with six kills and three blocks. She hit .357.
- Senior Jasmine Waters added three blocks and four kills for VCU.
