Camora Sanders was the second Ram to compete at the NCAA East Preliminary meet, placing 43rd in a field of 46. The junior reached a mark of 45.09m after weather triggered an hour-long delay in the event. Sanders did not qualify to compete in the finals.

Sanders' mark was the fourth best of her collegiate career. Her best distance came during the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships this season when the Pompano Beach, Fla. native placed first with a 50.14m mark. It was also the best mark posted in the Atlantic 10 throughout the season.

Sanders showed strong improvement during her junior year by boosting her best mark by 3.73m. The throwing specialist earned three top-three finishes in the event during the spring season.

On top of her success in discus, Sanders earned a fifth place conference finish in shot put, helping her squad win their second title of the year.
