  • VCU started off the day by taking home the doubles point led by the junior duo of Daria Yakauleva and Olga Terteac at the #2 doubles, 8-4. Freshman Olga Barscheuskaya and sophomore Salome Kvitashvili locked up the point by taking home an 8-7 win at #3 doubles.
  • Senior Josefin Hjertquist got the singles victories started at the sixth spot in VCU's lineup with a decisive 6-3, 6-1 win over Zainia Sufi.
  • Newcomer Cindy Chala kept momentum on VCU's side by taking down Matea Cutura at the top singles spot.
  • Kvitashvili locked up the win for the Black & Gold by taking down Ana Vladutu at #4 singles.
