RAMS HEAD TO CHARLOTTESVILLE POD, WILL TAKE ON TENNESSEE IN FIRST ROUND
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Captain Mo won't have to travel far with the VCU women's tennis team for the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
The Rams will be carrying plenty of momentum into the postseason when they take on Tennessee in the Charlottesville pod next Friday, May 11th. VCU, the third seed in the region will battle the Volunteers for the right to play 14th overall seed UVA or Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday.
Winners of 11 straight, VCU will be one of the hottest teams in the postseason after capturing a dramatic 4-3 win over Georgia State in the CAA finals last Sunday.
This will be VCU's seventh straight and 13th overall NCAA Tournament appearance, which included two runs to the Sweet 16 or better. The deepest run by any women's team at VCU came in 2002 when the Rams reached the Elite Eight.
