FORTH WORTH, Texas. – Facing a TCU squad that had three of the top-100 players in the country in its lineup, the Virginia Commonwealth University women's tennis team knew it wouldn't be easy to keep their winning streak alive in Texas.

Scratch that above statement because that's exactly what the 23rd-ranked Rams did, cruising to a 5-2 win over the Horned Frogs. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Black & Gold, improving its overall record to 13-2 on the year.

After dropping the doubles point for the first time in over a month, VCU rebounded quickly with senior Laura Burns (Hertford, England) picking up a 6-2, 6-3 win over Idunn Hertzberg to even the scoreboard at 1-1.

Junior Kateryna Yergina (Kiev, Ukraine) kept things going with a 6-0, 6-4 defeat of #100 Katariina Tuohimaa, followed by senior Olena Leonchuk (Kiev, Ukraine) dropping Gaby Mastromarino, 6-0, 6-4.

Sophomore Ana Bara (Oradea, Romania) locked up VCU's win with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Maria Babanova at #5 singles, while her sister Ana Bara (Oradea, Romania) picked up the Black & Gold's final point of the day with a hard-fought win over #88 Kayla Duncan, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).

The red-hot Rams will wrap up their trip to the Lonestar State with a 12 p.m. showdown with the Mustangs of SMU on Saturday afternoon in Dallas.
