RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Basketball forward Camille Calhoun will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a knee injury sustained on Nov. 15 against Minnesota.
Calhoun, a redshirt junior from Bowie, Maryland, played in two contests this season. Calhoun scored three points in seven minutes in against Coppin State on Nov. 11 and scored four points in five minutes against Minnesota before suffering the injury. She has played in 62 games in her career for VCU earning 26 starts.
Calhoun also suffered a season-ending injury last season after playing seven games. She was averaging 11.3 points per contest, a team-high, at the time of the injury.
She played in 24 games as a freshman in 2013-14, earning nine starts. She played in 29 games as a sophomore in 2014-15 again starting nine contests. For her career, she is averaging 6.2 points per game and 4.9 rebounds.
