Men’s Tennis Cruises Past Campbell, Georgetown to Open VCU 4-1 Invitational

- The VCU Men's Tennis team kicked off the 2013 spring schedule with a pair of victories against visiting Campbell and Georgetown Friday in day one of the Rams' annual 4-1 Invitational at Thalhimer Tennis Center.
- Senior Jaime Vazquez (pictured) went 2-0 in singles action, picking up a wins against both Campbell and Georgetown.
- Senior Max Wennakoski and freshman Michael Voscek won their singles matches against the Camels early in the day before juniors Alexis Heugas and Alejandro Argente, and Pascal Domnik joined Vazquez with victories over the Hoyas in the afternoon session.
- VCU won both of its doubles matches Friday as the duo of Huegas and sophomore Claes Gorensson defeated Campbell's Josep Baro/Ondrej Kralik (6-0, 6-3) before Voscek/Wennakowski topped Georgetown's Alex Troplano/Casey Distaso (6-1, 7-5).
