RICHMOND, Va. – In case two awards weren't enough, sophomore Devon Fisher of the VCU men's soccer team made it three. 

After being named Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week, as well as earning a spot on  College Soccer News' National Team of the Week, Fisher was named Virginia Lottery Student-Athlete of the Week for VCU Athletics.

Fisher and the Rams battled No. 9 New Mexico to a 1-1 draw on Friday before scoring three unanswered goals in the final 13 minutes to upset No. 13 Maryland 3-2 in College Park on Sunday.

Fisher, who finished the weekend with a pair of goals on three shots, scored the equalizer (56th minute) against the Lobos and capped off VCU's rally with the game-winner in the 87th minute against the Terrapins. 

VCU is now 4-1-1 against ranked opponents the last two seasons.

The Rams continue their three-match road swing with a visit to fifth-ranked Akron on Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. before facing Niagara on Sept. 15.  VCU returns to Sports Backers Stadium on Sept. 21 against No. 12 Coastal Carolina.
