RICHMOND, Va. – The VCU-Richmond rivalry will heat up again – perhaps pre-heat is more accurate – on April 19.
That's when VCU Men's Basketball Coach Mike Rhoades will take on Richmond Head Coach Chris Mooney in the sixth annual Coaches' Cook-Off at the Dewey Gottwald Center at the Science Museum of Virginia. Proceeds from the competition will benefit Positive Vibe Café, a non-profit organization that trains and employs adults with disabilities.
Rhoades will team up with chef Michelle Williams of the Richmond Restaurant Group, while Mooney will pair with Michael Hall of Spoonbread Bistro in the contest.
Tickets are $100 each or two for $150 and are available online at PositiveVibeCafe.com. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Contact Garth Larcen at 804-787-0783.
The Coaches' Cook-Off is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
