NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – With six NCAA Tournament teams last season, the Atlantic 10 once again proved itself as one of the nation's toughest college basketball conferences. After two outstanding years, VCU fans have learned just how good of a conference the A-10 is for the Black & Gold.
2014-15 will be no different in the A-10 and now the Rams know their home and away pairings for next season, which was announced by the conference office on Thursday.
With a new 18-game league schedule, the Rams will have home-and-home series with five conference opponents. Those five include the two-time defending regular season champion St. Louis, in-state rivals Richmond and George Mason, NCAA Tournament team George Washington and A-10 newcomer Davidson.
In addition to the home-and-home series, Dayton, La Salle, UMass and Saint Joseph's will all visit the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center inside the HDL, Inc. Athletic Village.
The HAVOC road tour will make stops at Duquesne, Fordham, Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure.
Exact dates and times will announced at a late date after television details are worked out.
