RAMS, CAVALIERS SET TO START HOME-AND-HOME IN 2013-14

RICHMOND, Va. – Separated by just 75 miles, the VCU and UVA men's basketball programs haven't faced each other on the hardwood since 1998.

That hiatus will end next year as the Rams and Cavaliers have agreed to a home-and-home series, beginning in Charlottesville during the 2013-14 campaign. The Wahoos will visit the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center inside the HDL, Inc. Athletic Village in 2014-15.

The two schools have faced off a total of 11 times, five times at UVA, four at VCU and two at the Robins Center.

VCU (27) and Virginia (23) posted the top two win totals during the 2012-13 season with the Rams being one of three schools (James Madison, Liberty) in the Commonwealth to reach the NCAA Tournament.

Date and time for the 2013-2014 matchup have not been set.
