> VCU returns to the court to take on sixth-seeded UMass in the Atlantic 10 semifinals. This is the 11th time in the past 12 years that the Rams have reached the semifinals in their conference tournament.
> The Rams toppled the Minutemen, 86-68, in the only meeting between the two programs just over a month ago (Feb. 14). VCU forced UMass into 24 turnovers in that game (full boxscore on page 4).
> With four more 3-pointers in VCU's quarterfinal win over Saint Joe's, senior Troy Daniels moved into sole possession of fifth-place on the A-10's single-season three-pointers list. He's now seven away from Jimmy Baron's mark of 118. The single-season record is held by Saint Joe's Pat Carroll (135).
> With five steals in the win over SJU, sophomore Briante Weber broke Rolando Lamb's 28-year-old single-season school record of 88. Weber now has 91 entering today's matchup with the Minutemen.
> With 12 team steals in the win over SJU, the Rams set a new single-season program record with 382 thefts this season. That mark broke the 381 set by last year's squad.
> In the win over SJU, VCU hits 11 3-pointers, marking the 40th time during Coach Smart's tenure that the Rams hit double-figures in 3-pointers. VCU is 37-3 in those games.
> The win over SJU moved VCU's three seniors (Darius Theus, Troy Daniels and David Hinton) into sole possession of the program record for career victories with 109.
> After scoring 80-plus for the 15th time this year, VCU improved its offensive output to 78.2 points per game, which ranks eighth in the country entering today's matchup with the Minutemen. The Rams are 15-0 when scoring 80 or more this year.
> VCU's HAVOC style of defense has helped the Rams claim the top spot in the country in total steals (382), steals per game (11.9) and turnovers forced per game (19.8). VCU forces a turnover on 28.5% of its defensive possessions, which is also the top mark in the country.
> 57: That's the amount of NCAA Division I teams that have less steals than Darius Theus and Briante Weber combined. Theus (79) and Weber (91) have 170 total thefts this year.
