The Storylines

> VCU returns to the road looking for its sixth straight win and 19th in its past 21 outings when it travels to red-hot Saint Louis to take on the Billikens in a battle for sole possession of first-place in the Atlantic 10.

> Tonight marks the third meeting between the two programs with VCU taking the previous two showdowns, which came during the 2010 CBI Championship series.

> The Black & Gold will look to continue its winning ways on the road with VCU winning seven of its eight true road games this year and 17 of its past 21 dating back to the start of last season.

> VCU is one of just five teams in the country with one or fewer losses in true road games this year. Memphis, Miami, Gonzaga and Indiana are the others.

> VCU enters tonight's matchup with the league's top defense having scored 80-plus in three of its past four outings, including Saturday's 84-57 drubbing of George Washington.

> The win over GW on Saturday marked the 12th time this year that the Rams scored 80 or more points as VCU enters tonight with the nation's 14th-best offense (78.1 ppg). The Rams are 12-0 this year when scoring 80 or more and 38-1 when reaching that number under Coach Smart.

> In Saturday's win over GW, the Rams forced 25 turnovers, marking the 15th time this year that VCU forced 20 or more turnovers. In those games, the Black & Gold are 15-0.

> VCU's HAVOC style of defense has helped the Rams claim the top spot in the country in total steals (321), steals per game (12.3) and turnovers forced per game (20.6). VCU forces a turnover on 29.5% of its defensive possessions, which is also the top mark in the country.

> Sophomore Briante Weber (8.21) and senior Darius Theus (5.97) enter tonight as the top two players in the nation in steal percentage.

> Junior Juvonte Reddic is coming off his ninth double-double of the year and sixth during conference play after posting a season-high 24 points, along with 10 rebounds in Saturday's win over GW. Reddic is the only players in the A-10 who ranks in the top-10 in scoring (15.5 ppg - eighth) and rebounding (9.5 rpg - first) in conference play.

> Senior sharpshooter Troy Daniels enters tonight just three 3-pointers away from setting a new single-season record at VCU. Daniels would break his own record, which he set last year with 94 3-pointers.
