The Storylines

> VCU returns to the road looking to extend its win streak to 13 and stay unbeaten in A10 conference play when it travels to the Steel City to take on Duquesne. The current streak by the Rams is tied for second longest active streak in the country with Butler and just two behind Kansas' 14 straight wins.

> During its current 12-game winning streak, VCU has outscored its opposition by an average of 24.3 ppg (82.8-61.5). The Rams have forced nearly double the amount of turnovers they have given up during that stretch (142 to 280), which has led to 177 more field-goal attempts than the opposition.

> For the first time since 1984-85, VCU is sporting an AP Top-25 ranking after the Rams were slotted 22nd in this week's poll. It marks the second straight week that VCU was in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll with the Black & Gold moving up from 24th to 19th

> VCU's current winning streak marks the second straight year that the Rams have posted double-digit win streaks. Prior to last year, it hadn't been done since the 1984-85 campaign. The current streak marks the ninth time in program history that VCU has won 10 or more consecutive games.

> Tonight is the first meeting between these two programs. Duquesne is one of just four A10 schools that the Rams have never faced. Fordham, UMass and Temple are the other three.

> VCU is less than 48 hours removed from a thrilling 92-86 overtime victory over Preaseason A10 favorite Saint Joseph's on Thursday night. It was VCU's first overtime game since Jan. 19, 2012 when the Rams toppled William & Mary, 69-68 at the Siegel Center. VCU has now won five straight overtime games dating back to the 2010-11 season.

> Sophomore Treveon Graham, senior Darius Theus and junior Juvonte Reddic were a three-headed monster against Saint Joe's. The trio combined for 62 points, 27 rebounds, 13 assists and six steals. Theus and Reddic both had double-doubles with Reddic going for 15 pts and 17 rebounds and Theus finishing with career-highs in points (22) and assists (10).

> In the past 365 days, the Rams are 31-5 with the five losses coming by a combined 17 points.

> Dating back to last January, VCU has won 10 of its past 11 true road games, with the only loss coming via a buzzer-beater from George Mason, 62-61 on Feb. 14, 2012. The Rams are 4-0 in such games this year.

> VCU will be looking to claim its 100th victory under Coach Smart and staff. With a victory today, Coach Smart would become the 30th fastest coach to 100 career wins in all of college basketball history. He would become just the 12th coach in college basketball history to reach 100 wins in his first four seasons.
